While busy with a conversion of W211 MY2003 to MOPF I thought it would also be nice to have the chrome key with the car in stead of the black ones.

Seems that if you have the right keys/PCB's you only have to exchange the micro to make it work.

Things to know:
- both keys exists with 2 transmit frequency: 315Mhz (US) and 433Mhz (Europe)
- The chrome key exits in a KeyLessGo version with a PCB which is not compatible with the black ones

So, you need a chrome key of the frequency matching your old key and WITHOUT KeyLessGo function.

Next is to locate the NEC processor and replace the one on the chrome key with the one from the black key. Test in your car, finish.

Busy to rebuild a W211-MY2003 which had caught fire under the bonnet near the turbo.

Because it was a lot of work to restore and new parts was needed we decided to convert to the MOPF version of MY2007, which looks much better. While everything from inside was removed to get access to wiring looms etc. we decided to add some extra features.

Here I like to share my experiences and problems. Hopefully you guys can add/correct me where necessary.

What are the differences between the 2 cars?
- Front bumper
- Rear bumper
- Headlights
- Left/Right side mirrors
- Front grille
- Trunklid Chrome strip

Bumpers.
Bumpers can be replaced 1:1. No changes are needed to the fixing points. However the old Parktronic module will not work with the new sensors in the bumpers.

The PTS module must be replaced by a new version. The plugs to the front and back bumper must be replaced to fit the new original wiring loom in the bumpers. The PTS communicates over the CAN bus (gear and PTS ON/OFF) and controls the indications over a LIN bus. This works fine with the existing indicators. Connectors are pin compatible, so replacing is not much work.

Headlights.
The headlights will fit exactly on the fixing points.
We have Xenon headlights with Curve light. Functionally the new headlights will not work with the existing SAM modules.
The best is to take out the reflectors from the NEW lights and mount them in the OLD headlight. So, all fucntionality will be available and you will get the new look.

Side view mirrors.
The mirrors will not fit directly on the old doors. The mounting feet has a different fixing. Need some holes to be drilled and hammering in the cup where the mirror feet will fall in to. Function wise all is compatible with the existing door modules.

The new front grille can just be exchanged with the old one.
Trunklid chrome with plastic plate below can be exchanged without any problems.

Added extra options to the car (all original equipment):
- Distronic
- Heated Steering Wheel
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring
- Remote trunklid closing
- Additional Heater system with remote

Most of the work is done. Expect to have the car on the road again in another 3 weeks. Is a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.

hello to all ... I have a serious problem ... I received today my SDconnect c4 china clone ... I have a dell d630 with xentry 11-2013 installed and works well with my C3 ... I changed the setting from file cal.ini part_D2 to part_T ... the SDconnect it is connected but have started automatic updates that I could not stop ... C4 is now recognized by sdnc but does not enter the diagnosis with error 9.890 ... I read that the problem are the updates ... you have any viable solution that is not to throw everything ...

I have a problem with delphi 2013.1.
The software was OK, but I had to format my harddrive and reinstall everything.
I installed delhpi 2013.1 without problem. But when I click on delhi icon on the desktop main.exe doesn't run. Crash all the time immediatly.
I don't know what to do.

no any firewall and antivirus installed on this computer.
Installed netframework too.
