Trying to get my smart fortwo 450, 600cc turbo, 2002 running.
Lets take it from the start.
The car starts fine, after 2-3 seconds check engine and antispin lights are on and the engine goes into safe mode.
When I give throttle it locks at just under 2000rpm.
I connect odb reader and get error code p0120 "Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "a" Circuit.
Tried to delete but error comes back.
I towed the car to my Mercedes/Smart workshop so they could do a (troubleshooting $212).
They found what was wrong so they changed the ("throttle body" $522).
The problem was not fixed so they did more troubleshooting and found out that the engine ecu is damaged and need to be replaced with a new one which will cost me another $1700 to get replaced.
My question is,
Can I replace the bosch 0261205005 ecu with a used one with the same serialnumber?
I've found several ecus starting from $150 at junkjards.
Will I need a mb star computer to program the new ecu?

hello i have a PSA XS Evo Interface i have used it 0nce about 6 months ago and it worked fine i come to use it again had to install pp2000 again and now when i plug the usb in thr my computer the little green light comes on then goes strait of again i looked at the driver i have installed and it seems to be ok can anyone help

Before installing please do the following steps:
1. Uninstall previous version of Renault CAN-Clip if you have
2. IF your 1st installation: Run Crack.reg
After installation finish & you will reboot, you will get SPX Registration....
To avoid PERMANENTLY this, do the following steps:
1. Alt+Ctrl+Del (Kill process RSRWin.exe)
2. Delete RSRWin.exe (in C:\Windows)
3. Use Regedit (and Delete "ALL" values with name RSRWin)
4. Reboot your machine!!!
5. NO MORE flash for SPX Registration...
Before your 1st Running with the program make those steps:
You NEED to have 1 Renault Car (and ALWAYS Renault clip running-working)

1. Connect your Clip Sonde Can Interface 1st in your Car (OBD Slot)
2. Turn Ignition ON (NOT Engine running)
3. Connect your Clip Sonde Can Interface via USB cable with your computer
4. Start to installing ALL the Drivers (that they will be appearing) and
you can find those in: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers or from this DVD
in the folder "CAN-Clip Drivers".

Almost one week my car can not start because immobiliser is function.
Scanning On PP2000 :
Problem detected when transmitting unlock code, Engine immobiliser code can not be read,
ECU status Locked.
all ECU's tested and running well within the "global test" and found no errors.
In the "Engine ECU" is mentioned - PP2000 unknown reference, Ecu being referenced (this may be due to the ECU was locked so that communication does not exist)
All system wiring and connectors in good condition.
I can communicate with the Engine ECU via Test by ECU (KFW S2000) I can read all parameters, but the ECU will remain locked

In my opinion. Eprom in the ECU 96160 S-2000-PL4FC5 that store immo code was corupted. So the ECU immo code can not be read by the BSI.
The problem that I would ask is:

In the Engine ECU, Memory EPROM used is 95 160. What software can I use to check or examine its EPROM dump. because I see a lot of outstanding software can only read eeprom 95080 in S2000.
Or reading "95160" is equal to the reading of "95080"? Example of the software immo killer
Can I do a re-coding for my ECU or maybe Immo off for it (S2000-PL4FC5)?
