Hi all I am new to vcm's and don't know enough abut them to get Mine to work. the big question is; Do the China VCM's require a different IDS software to make them run. and if so does any one have a copy?
I have a HQ China VCM that I received from a friend and it came with no software to run it. on the side there's a sticker saying 2009 through 2011 with 2012 being void on the sticker.
Lets just say I have downloaded every type of full DVD of IDS and none work. The ip address in the Program Remote Code Service Monitor will keep changing every time i change it to match in windows net config and it does not change at the usb port or in my network configuration. The VCM also uses the usb/ether cable with a V-349 on it and not the H-409 on it. I really need some help.
I have read every thing on the internet and I have't found anything that addresses this problem.

does anybody know if on a ECU some pinouts are always the same?

or does anybody have a tip or source where i can get pinouts from the ECU for each different car model?

what i need is the exact pinout of the ECU´s from the most common (european and asian) cars.

i ask because i want to record and save oscilloscope pictures from every pinout to have the possibility to prove and compare every signal on every pin on the ECU for faultfinding.

any help or idea is more than welcome!

Dear Experts,
I use a SDconnect C4 MUX. Up to now I had the 3.2012 version running without problems. Recently I upgraded my PC and decided to install 11.2012. The upgrade was fairly smooth thanks to the cookbook by SKdrasher.

When connecting the MUX, the first impression was that the wireless link is not as stable as the one in 3.2012. Every few minutes the link drops for a few seconds and then comes back by itself. It also seems that no HHTwin.ini file was created.

My big issue is, however, that I get the famous 'communications layer' error (1.2)-2.503.9908 after starting up Xentry. I searched through the forum and tried several of the fixes recommended there, e.g blacklist fix, replace the DAS/Programme/bin folder, etc. but to no avail.

I ran the Toolkit MUX selftest and the results table showing up at the end of the test lists '1' error. I can however not find a file where this error is specified in more detail. Any idea where I need to look for this?

Com-port settings are ok. To double check the proper MUX functioning I reinstalled 3.2012 and that worked again.

Any advice where my comm's layer problem could be located?
