Does anybody know weather it is just a matter of Coding the new one which could be done using a Clone Dice, or does it need a Software Download which i will have to take into volvo dealer?

I bought the Shity/Crap VCM to uobd2 (Now I know that I shouldn't have...)

Installed windows SP3 English, installed drivers, it’s a clean windows installation with no patches no updates no antivirus and firewall disabled.

Installed MAZDA v79:
-IDS
-Reboot
-Calibration files
-Reboot
-License
-Reboot

Open IDS select Mazda fill any customer code… ALL OK

Connect VCM to power connect to Laptop automatically installs drivers, still ALL OK

diagnose mazda read errors ALL OK

Try to regenerate DPF (Diesel Particle Filter)
Engine starts to increase rpm then I get the error:


Communication Fails, Try again?

Trying to adapt EGR does the same:

Anyone have any experience of cloning Vauxhall Combo-C Y17DTL engine ECU? I have tried doing this with CarProg but does not work.
There seems to be a problem with the codes from instrument cluster and body control module not being recognised. I assumed by copying the eeprom contents from old to new ECU this should make an exact copy of original ECU. I have also copied flash file from old to new but still not working.

I can do the Astra DTI without problem but Corsa / Combo has me baffled

I have a friend who has Saab 9-5 estate (yearmodel 1999) with 2,3 litres turbo engine.
He want´s to tune it and I have MPPS v12 tool and it should support this make & model.
Does any one have any experiences on using this tool on Saab? Is it safe to use? Or is it a-no-go with this tool?
I also have BDM100 tool but I would not like to open the ECU of that car...!
Does anyone have any good comments on this matter?!?

Hi,

Citroen C3 1.4HDI (2002 model) with Siemens SID 802 ECU had spiked ECU and so a matching ECU, BSI and transponder were acquired from a known working car. The car will start and run but the dashboard display is not correct i.e. it has fuel empty, no temp, no speed etc. etc.

Although I am confident using Diag for finding and erasing faults, I prefer to check before doing any telecoding. My question is - once fitted to the car is there a dashboard configuration for the BSI which should be completed ? And also (I have the Citroen C3 BSI ECU programming guide from Larue) when doing the configuration for any ECU etc. do you have to telecode EVERY SINGLE option i.e. change fan type to chopper then telecode then change ABS to present then telecode ? Or is it ok just to ensure all configurations are correct on the page and then telecode all at once ?

I think this post may help some beginners also as some things are not so clear in Lexia/Diag. I have seen quite a few posts on the web whereby people have swapped BSI, ECU and transponder in Citroen/Peugeot HDIs and the dash display has become incorrect. Any help would be much appreciated.

Also, as a final note does anyone know a good suitable programmer which would allow the eprom on the Siemens SID 802 to be read/write to with dumps as obviously virginising these units would be easier than obtaining matching sets ?

Hi Everyone, I have a question about Alldata portable.

Currently I am using 10.50PE version 10.50.0.0 named ALLDATA Repair - C.exe. Not installed, just an exe from the desktop.

Today for the first time I had a screen in Explorer pop up while alldata was open saying "REQUIRED UPDATE". I checked and this came from h**p://marcomm.alldata.com/update/alldata.html

My question is, is there still the risk of flexnet "calling home" with the portable version also? I assumed that had been removed from the portable version since you don't usually see all the complicated instructions about hosts and removing flexnet. I have used several different portable versions of Alldata over time and this is the first time I have seen anything like this.

If anyone knows anything about this I would really appreciate the info.

I am looking for Bootloaders and instructions for HDS with Ford IDS

need wiring audi A3 1.9 tdi 130 hp.

I have a customer's car stuck here and my GT1 decided to cause problems

When everything is connected I have no connection to diag head, the green light is on and the orange light is flashing slowly. I tried different cables between lap top and head but no results. When I go into "Connection Set up" I don't see any free diag heads.
