Ford Technical Information System (TIS)
The Ford Technical Information System (TIS) Is used by Ford garages in the day to day maintenance and repair of Ford vehicles. This format has replaced the Microfiche sheets previously used but the information does not cover many older vehicles, in general vehicles from about the mid 90's onward are quite well catered for but only some information is included on older vehicles.
NOTE: It works on XP fine, haven't tried it on Vista or Windows 7 though.

Made a patch that will help you solve the problem with the VIN number.
The only thing you need to install the program on the C partition.
My knowledge about making a patch is not so great for these reasons only works on the C partition.
Tested only on XP SP3.

I have an issue with an original Part_D C3, in fact, here is the situation
I have an original Compact2 diagnosis laptop (T23) with special dockstation with the Part_D C3
Until now everything works fine on 01.2010 version
So a friend would like to have a Star Diagnosis bundle, I have purchase a set from a dealer, and I have received a clone of course
, with the specific cable converter RS 232 to RS 485, what does not exist on my Compact2 because it has integrated on the dockstation !
I tested the clone Mux (only the Part_D C3) on my Comptact2, and It works fine on it !
From an other PC (desktop), dedicaded for my friend,
I installed a fresh copy of Windows Xp3 then I installed DAS/XENTRY 01.2011,03.2011,07.2010 found on this place

I connected my clone Mux with the converter cable (RS 232 to RS 485) on this desktop, then I tested on several cars everything is ok !
So that's here where the issue starts !
I plugged my original Part_D instead of the other, and I tried to start a diagnotic with him and the 9550 error appears !
I tried it on other PC (07.2010), the clone works fine but for my original Mux the result is the same, not works !
I tried also to change in cal.ini Part_D to D2, W etc .. same way !
Do you think that the converter cable from my clone set does not accept my original Mux because my original Mux works only with Mercedes hardware ? (in reality I think but I am not sure, the converter cable doesn't exit in Mercedes, in fact the converting (port com to port Part_D) is realized by the hardware equipement integrated on each diagnosis station (Compact2, Compact3, Compact4)
Someone have a already try to connected with success an original Part_D with this type of cable ?

I know this may be a little late, but I'm a user that needs the stock 03/2011 version of DAS32R2.exe to perform control unit programming but really miss the ease of launching DAS directly from the desktop with the 01/2011 version of DAS32R2.exe, so I made a couple of batch files to switch the .exe files on the fly.
Y'all have given so much to me, I thought I would share these with you.
Disclaimer: As always, use at your own risk
Installation instructions: Extract the 2 batch files and the Das shortcut to your desktop.
Extract the 2 DAS32R2.exe.0X.2011 files to C:\Programme\Das\Bin\
When you double click on the DAS_01_2011.bat file, it will switch out the DAS32R2.exe with the 01/2011 version and launch DAS, and when you double click on the DAS_03_2011.bat file, it will switch back to the 03/2011 version of DAS32R2.exe and launch it to prove it made the switch (you can remove the lauching part of the .bat file by removing the last 2 lines, I left it in there to make sure it was switched before launching Xentry and logging in).

Hi members I am hoping that some of you can give me some help or advice.
I have a Audi (8E) 2lt 2003 model in my shop for not starting. It had spar', fuel and compression, was cranking over strong but wouldn't start.
Trouble codes were:
01370
01371
01561
- cleared the trouble codes and in still would start. I sprayed Quick start fluid into the intakke and it started.
MIL light was off. But now I did a throttle body adaptation now and now the mil light is on and vagcom shows code 01826 which is sensor for steering wheel angle. I don't know if I did something wrong on vag com when I did throttle body adaptation so hope someone can help and give me some advice.
Did I incorretly do adaptaion on steering instead of throttle body? Useing vagcom 10.6 what is the correct way to do throttle body adaptation and steering wheel adaptation?
CANNOT UPDATE DAS, when installing DAS_01_2011 there is PARTINFO_ERROR:Total size of harddisk=0 MB, Number of partitions=0, Available free space on harddisc=0MB.
My current: C:Star=14.6GB. D:Recover=18.8GB. E:Wis=12.6GB. Fas=28.3GB. total sizes.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
alldata is going on line and then the key is knocked out and i have to reinstall the key and put the data bases back in any body have this problem and is there a cure i have been trying different things i disconected the internet and in the allldata program i deleted the internet folder thanks for any help.
