I would like to know if, anyone has a step by step written tutorial to install das xentry 01-2011 as i have the video guide but it is for 2009 and the steps taken in it are different compared to the 2011 version. I have tried several times but all attempts are unsuccessful. I have been to the section in this forum and checked for guides including the ones from Zolookas and the original but neither give comprehensive instructions. Hopefully someone can help. Failing that would someone who has used the video guide give written instructions as to which steps to take and in what order as the program consul has been updated to the February 2011 and the installation is different. I have a Citroen XM 2.5TD fitted with a Bosch 0 281 001 336 ecu. The ECU is the wrong one for the exact model and year (RP number) of XM. Therefore I searched for the correct ecu, Bosch 0 281 001 589, and found one on ebay. I now have it. I replaced the wrong ecu with the correct one and started the engine. I did not need a code. The green light was on the keypad when I turned it on.
However, after running the engine for several minutes I switched off. After I did this the red LED came on and now I cannot start the engine because I don't know the code for the keypad. I understand, after a bit of searching, that the replacement ecu had probably been disconnected from the keypad whilst unlocked and would have remained unlocked if I had disconnected the keypad. Unfortunately the keypad was connected and the ecu is now locked.
I am aware that the ecu can be unlocked but I'm not sure of the exact steps. As far as I know I need to remove the eeprom from the ecu. I have opened the ecu but I am having trouble identifying the eeprom. I see two chips labelled 1037355913 and 1037355914 but these are sticky labels. The original chip manufacturers ID is hidden underneath the sticky labels. If I identify the correct chip and remove it from the ecu I believe I need to plug it into a programmer connected to my laptop via usb. I then need the appropriate software to take a dump of the eeprom. By deciphering the data dump I can identify the key code.
I am a complete novice at this so please treat me gently. Can anyone provide any guidance on the following:
1)How can I identify the eeprom?
2)What hardware do I need to buy to read/programme the eeprom?
3)What software do I need to talk to the hardware?
4)Once I have the eeprom data dump, how do I identify the key code?
I have a Lexia but this does not help. I can include a photo of the inside of the ecu if that is any help.

5. Go to Administration and put your details for Menus ACTIVATION!
1) 123 Then Q
2) 12345 Then Q
3) Whatever name you want, it hase to be and in two lines then Q
Also about the Numbers use whatever you think or you want.
6. Run - Install the PATCH 18.01.00 Base CD (7.2010)
7. Reboot your machine
8. Re-Run Re-Install VAG VAS-PC HotFix For Version 18.00
9. Run - Install the PATCH 18.01.01
10. Now, install ALL the Brand CD's

I've got this clone VCM from a friend, it stopped working after 3 cars connected, at the time version of IDS was 70, now i tried to use vcm clear utility but no success,( failed to re-load gateway software) i tried also with version 59, it just says vcm not connected, when i plug it into car LAN card says not connected, i changed IP address to 192.168.0.1 and 10.0.0.1, any help would be very much appreciated. I attached log file and pictures of hardware. I read a lot about VCM just seems can't get it to work
is anyone here know how to update DAS and Wis.
because i'v try it with my DAS and it cancel old one and don't create any new one and it stell dosn't work.

I tried to connect and got error:
Intitialization of diagnosos multiplexer failed. Possible causes: The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnostic socket is interrupted. The link between the diagnosis multiplexer and the diagnostic unit is interrupted. The voltage supply at the diagnostic socket (circuit 30 and (or) circuit 31) is faulty.
I also have another laptop with DAS 09/09 and the multiplexer is working fine. Please help
