hello guys. I need help calculating the checksum for ESU131 C-MAC 2005. I uploaded the file to the ECU but my program does not count the checksum, I did not connect the ECU to the car, will the ECU be blocked?
I'm slowly, methodically de-cluttering my B8, and next one is immobilizer system.
I want to keep the key fob lock-unlock function but nothing else.
If I immo delete the ECU, throw steering lock mechanism in the trash and convert ignition to simple push button . . . will everything else just keep working as usual?

Hi guys, I dismantled the radio control box from an Alfa 156, I tried to read it in all ways with xprog on the circuit, desoldering it with its adapter, upa etc but I can't communicate with the mcu. can you help me on how to connect (it seems to me that the adapter for xprog needs to be modified but I don't know how) because when I try it it remains fixed in bypass security... the cpu is always the 0D60J motorola. Hello everyone, I have a mk7 r from 2017 with dcc, dsg. After a visit to VW authorized dealer for coding acc. The mode button no longer works. The driver profiles can no longer be found in navi. After pressing the mode button, it only lights up orange briefly and then goes out again. It is not displayed in the navigation system or in the instrument cluster. No error messages. Can anyone help? I have Odis, vcds and a few others. How can I possibly restore the function.

Hi I'm selling my almost new hexprog2, it's the full version and it has active license, I had a kess3 and I did like to use this one than the kess, and it read about the same ECU I throw at it as the kess, I want $1200 OBO.
There is little to no information online on how to unlock (aka obd patch DMEs) the BMW DME as a DIY, so I'm starting a thread on how to bench unlock the Gen1 and select Gen2 BMW DMEs using any bench flash tool to pull the iRom and edit it for unlocking using HxD (I am using the AMT clone gold box). hopefully it will help others that are looking to do this. I can also post how to extract the portion of the iRom that can be used in tunerpro for tuning, then flashed with your favorite tuning app if anyone is interested.
!!! ALWAYS BACKUP THE ORIGINAL IROM BEFORE ANY EDITING AND SAVE IT TO A SEPARATE FOLDER !!!
B58 Gen1 up 6/2020 (Tested and verified by me)
Using HxD, go to address: 40260 (ctrl+g) - replace 00 00 00 00 with 39 7E B6 88 "allows tuning apps to detect unlock"
search for 80 2A 03 E2 07 (around 0x541BC) replace with 80 48 03 44 00 "OBD patch" flash iRom back to the DME ensuring you correct the checksum (the tool usually asks or does it for you)
B58/S58 G chassis up to 6/2020 (Tested and verified by me on 12/16/2024) - Also works for B48 and S63 engine.
Go to address: 5F7DC and replace the 00 00 00 00 with 38 D1 BF DC "allows tuning apps to detect unlock"
search for 91 10 00 26 F6 27 (around 0x2CA58) replace with 91 10 00 26 82 02 "OBD patch" flash iRom back to the DME ensuring you correct the checksum (the tool usually asks or does it for you).
An alternative option to editing the hex yourself is to use B58 Quickflash (not free). just upload the saved iRom file and it will apply the OBD patch. then flash back to the DME via bench.

What is the Level 1, Level 39, Level 3B and Level 61 access needed for? Level 39 is apparently for e.g. CPC or engine control units
I changed the DSG DQ200 G2 with new one after the old one frailer, and I can't read the old one file ,so I used the VAG calculator to change Immo but it didn't work.
Then I tried immo off it myself and the car started and accepted the basic sitting but still that (p1701 transmission control module locked) error shows up, and someone told me that
my immo off is wrong. Can anybody help me with this issue or immo of it for me please?
I want to make a win virgin with Tool32. I complete the process by writing zero as the win number. When I install xkombi on the vehicle and want to equalize the km, it says the win number is not the same in DME. How can I solve this?
My goal is to reset the kilometer and VIN numbers.
