in the old model, like astra j is eeprom knowed like 24C16

but in this new model the eeprom is different.

i have kia rio 2012 , when i driver after 80KM/h , check engine and eps ( steering power ) come on

i checked with diagnostic tool on engine it says VSS ( veichle speed sensor ) also on EPS module

i clear faults and lights went off after driving and reach 80km same problem


i replace vss sensor same problem ,

i think that the signals from vss sensor from PCM control to EPS control is too slowly to process through can bus

what i want is :
1- how to solve this problem ?

2- if i follow can-h and can-low terminals between pcm and EPC what should i do to insure that all thing correct ?



why i put this subject here , cause i think the problem relative to exchanging signals between PCM and EPS not good , so i want to know what to do exacltly ?

[1] If you have error like this



you should remove block from all files in Rheingold folder. For example C:\Program Files\Rheingold\SQLiteDBs and C:\Program Files\Rheingold\TesterGUI\bin\Release.
Select file and click right button, open Properties and click Unblock, after click Apply.



To unblock all files in folder Rheingold by 1 click, open Windows PowerShell like Admin (Run As Administrator).
By default Win 7 has 3d version of PowerShell, but we need install 4th version, downloading it from: >>>Microsoft<<<
for Win 7 x64 file Windows6.1-KB2819745-x64-MultiPkg.msu, and for Win x32 file Windows6.1-KB2819745-x86-MultiPkg.msu

In PowerShell you should execute command

gci ’С:\Program Files\Rheingold’ -Recurse | Unblock-File and press Enter (After executing of this command Rheingold starts working on 100%. Test plans, service functions etc)
And do not close PowerShell after you pressed "enter". It can take about 5 minutes to finish. Nothing will appear on screen, but processes is in work.

[2] If you do not need China language you can delete 2 files from folder SQLiteDBs:
xmlvalueprimitive_ZHCN.sqlite and streamdataprimitive_ZHCN.sqlite (you save 5GB of HD space)

[3] To resolve connecting problems with ECU modules in old cars you can increase response time on receive and connecting commands in Ediabas.ini.
Old INPA trick. (This trick affects on all cables ICOM, K-Line adapter, K-Dcan etc. May be it will help someone)

so with engine off , or on , shows lower voltage . I have tried with other ISID too , virtual and native on DELL D630.
reported values by ICOM with engine off 11.3 , with engine on 12.8

Other diagnostics tool i have tested , it shows good voltage.
Reprogramming requires at least 13V , so i'm unable to do programming, i guess if i use other car for supply voltage to my car, will not be enough too.

is there a firmware fix or else for this ICOM A2 ? is hardware fault ?
