Good morning folks. We recently installed an M275.981 6.0L V12 Bi-turbo powerplant into a client's R171 SLK55. The car is nearly finished and drives great! The ONLY issue is that the ESP system has a fault. In the ZGW/CGW, there is no choice for engine M275. In the "Global Settings" under the "Development Menu" there IS a setting for M275 E60 engine. In the ESP control module, there is a fault code for unknown engine control module.

Is there a way to modify the CGW menu to have the M275 choice for engine type in "Control Unit Adaptations"?

Otherwise, the car is all set and the ABS works too!

I realise that time is valuable for the dedicated few who do a great job of administering this forum, but might it not improve the site and make it easier to find the very real gems of information here if a user does not have to trawl through huge threads cluttered and bloated with endless posts such as:

1. Posts saying only Thanks or a variation of thanks but no other content.

2. Posts saying only Password please, or pass please.

3. Posts asking for activation codes.

Such posts serve no useful function when they are old, take up space on the server and make tedious work of finding the very real and helpful gems of wisdom that are to be found here.

Of course there may be a good reason why these posts continue to live on forever, but for the life of me I cannot see what it may be.

Just a thought.
