Hello to everyone!
I have MB Sprinter 1998` 308D 79hp. First the red light (!) started to illuminate from time to time, and i changed the front and back brake pads(they are with cables), without these for the handbrake. The light went off, but when i push the brake pedal hard it flashes again, and when i pull the hand brake until the end it flashes again. When i go to the back of the bus and i shake and move the handbrake rope and cables for the ABS and i guess the EBD sensor(its mounted on the brake caliper) the light flashes again and again. Yet i don`t know what is the condition of the hand brake pads. My question is, is it possible the reason for the flashing of the light, to be the weariness of the handbrake pads, or there may have air in the system or damaged cable of the sensor? Am i correctly thinking, that the sensor on the caliper is for the EBD?
Give your suggestions for the problem.
I`ll first begin solving the problem with the changing of the handbrake pads and venting the system from air.

Did find a schematic on the forum but is not exactly this device.
Mine has an additional MC33897 chip on board which is not on the schematic I found, but still I got the idea how more or less the circuit is built.
Tested on workbench and can see transmit data to selected pins.
My gues is that the data recived back is not arriving at the processor. Will test some more.
I have 3 LED's on the interface:
- RED = Power
- Green = TX from interface to car
- Yellow = ??? Is connected to pin 43 of PIC processor.
Please tell me what the yellow LED is for. Is ON as soon the notebook starts a diagnose session and stays on.
Also if you have any additional info about this type interface... is welcome.
