So the question is - how does part D2 interface recognize which cable is connected between car and interface - is it 14 pin, 16 pin or 38 pin. Somehow it sees the difference but i don't know how - are some of pins on 55 pin connector short circuited??

Hello to all ,i have Opel Frontera 2,2 dtl year 2000 with EDC15 ecu BOSCH eprom 24C04 ,i want to make immo off i try with ECU VONIX and the car starts around 90 times and again ask for immo ,i have removed immo box all same problem ,i have lift pin7 same problem when i atach pin7 to pin 8 the car dont start at all ,i have put eprom new ST24C04 same problem ,anyone had this experince on the past related to this car???

In Eeprom of Immo is no Fin and Immo-ID.... becauso of thius, i think, is shown trouble code: Ecu is broken...
The car starts and all works, only the radi wants to have the pin permanently... I readed the eeprom of KI... can anyone help to repair the file of the KI/Immo if it is the right file??

I have start my first OEM ECU tuning project. A BMW 525TDS with MSA11 DDE2.
I have found all the main maps, and several other, so I know the most to tune it.
I go right ahead and tell a "secret" I've found, In hope to get some help back.
I know that these ECUs are kind of out of date, but sure still in interest for someones i think..
I've found how the boost limiter works in this ECU.
The Smoke limiter map is used in a kind of strange way:
At atmospheric pressure appr. 1,63V from MAP sensor, the processor reads from the middle rows in the table.
At appr. 3,65V from MAP it reads from the highest row.
And now the tricky, when MAP voltage gets over appr. 3.7V it starts over and read from the bottom rows, which are very low values.
There you got the limiter, it cuts away a lot of IQ and the engine stops pulling.
Ok, so what I would like help with is to make a change in the program how the processor reads this map.
I would be extremely glad if someone skilled could make it read like:
At atmo pressure - bottom row and
MAP max appr. 4,95V - highest row.
I've looked a little in the program in IDA Pro, but when you never have seen programming like this it is hard to understand and find.
So please is there anyone who would like to take a look at it and see if you could make it. Maby it is not so hard for the guy who knows theese stuffs..
