Is it possible to correct the mileage on 2009 Mercedes W212? What tools/software is required? Can it be done via OBD port or is ECU removal required? Any help would be appreciated.
I've got the opportunity to buy a 2017 A200 pretty cheap that the insurance has written off. It's a distance sale, so I cant see the car until I buy it. As far as I know, the car was running fine before the bump. it has only done 40,000 miles.
External damage is minor, but it has a gearbox fault. I've done some google research, but cant really find much info on this. There are a couple of posts about following the on screen prompts, pressing the SOS button and clearing other faults.
I usually work on BMW, so have little knowledge on Mercs.
So my question is..
1. How bad 'could' this be. Is it very likely a software/calibration issue. Or could it be a serious mechanical fault the needs a new gearbox.
I have this ECU that when opened caused several damages.
I have been able to repair it except for a missing component that could be a filter (micro fuse), a capacitor or a resistor. I can't see where the line goes because this ECU is practically impossible to open from underneath.
I would need someone to please give me the ECU schematic, or failing that, if someone has one on hand, a photo of the component area at least to see what component it is.

Today I had a strange phenomenon on my GLC X253 built in 2017. While driving, all the control lights came on and the car jerked briefly. After that everything was ok again, but since then the IHC+ no longer works and the WLAN symbol in the radio display is gone.
I recoded the IHC+ about a year ago. All settings are still there. The other retrofits such as TSA and automatic rear door with key closure that I coded are still active. Only communication errors were stored in the error memory. Can Mercedes have done something online? But the old Hermes module is still installed.
Maybe someone has the Seat Leon 2 dashboard firmware file 1p0920841?
A British dash was fitted and Euro gauges were fitted, but the gauges are very different.
Filling EEPROM from the European panel did not help. Full firmware is required.
The original ECU is absent, I got another EMS2 from R53 2004.
Had read it with MPPS v18, got 512k file (29F400), changed VIN and did immo off.
Now trying to write the file back to ECU with MPPS. It does work, shows write progress, takes a couple of minutes and completes without errors.
But when I re-read it again, it's the same file with an old VIN number, so ECU doesn't take my changes.

"Read EEPROM from ECU and make corrections in address 00-60 as shown.
Write the file back with EEPROM write protection in register (8c), job done!

Please help me remove immo from this file. I am trying to immo off with immoff17 from neurotuning, but it does not work. (the car starts only when the error code in the ecu is removed).
I have a BMW 2019 F20 M140 in the shop. Three keys with the vehicle, 2 x genuine BMW 1 X aftermarket.
Vehicle locks and unlocks (not comfort access car) from all fobs on buttons.
Vehicle starts from all three keys when in transponder pickup on column.
No keys start the car when away from transponder.
Car came to me having had the FEM replaced previously, no idea why, I can only guess the same issue. Carried out antenna check in ISTA+ and all comes back OK.
Tools available ISTA+, Autel Ultra, Autel IM508s, XP400 pro, FEM bench kit etc.
I have carried out used FEM replacement, AKL etc on these cars before, but never seen this issue.

Hey I read out the car with Noread Tag remove it and removed DTC P0139 but everytime I try to flash my mod File car doesn't start anymore my Flash Tool and WinOls can't correct Checksums right.
I attached Mod Read from car which is working when I flash it back its the .bak file and my mod file which is not working can someone please correct cks for me or check File if I have corrupted something?
