Hi i have a w212 220 OM651 2015 with the 9 speed gearbox and have a problem i have not been able to solve yet
When it downshifts from 5-4 4-3 3-2 its not smooth, it feels like the engine braking , it does not slam gear , when the car is complete warm after a long drive somethimes it can downshift almost good so you almost dont feel it , but other wise it will always down shifts this and feeling the car engine is braking when shifting down
So faar i have changed the torque converter, complete valvebody filter and oil all new original MB parts , i have updated every ecu in the car whit scn so it has the lates software
i also replaced the gearbox whit a used one whit only 39.000 km on it and still the same , have done alle the adaptatinons like i should
i maintaine my car like crazy and have almoust changed every part on the engine also and cleaned all the intake valves and so on to be sure the engine was good , i have changed 4 new injectors , biturbo, timing chain , intake manifold , all the sensor in vacum and pressure systems pressure hooses , theres is alsmost not a part on the enigne that is not new and all the parts is original MB parts and have been adapted whit xentry
I have no fault at all in the car and in the transmission health all is also green and good
i have search and seen other mb whit the 9 speed have this fault but dont seem to bee the w212 series , i must oversee something or maybe i have got 2 gearboxe whit this fault maybe

Hello, I am looking to make a direct clone of a MED17.1.1 ECU and I was told from my tuner (the person I use to modify my customers files, I do all the reading/writing on the hardware side) that this ECU may or may not brick but he wasn't sure. Before I flash the read data from the original ECU to the donor I would like to be able to know if cloning this ecu would in fact pose a risk of bricking it. Unfortunately the customer is in another state so this was a send in job so I can just plug it into the car to validate if that is the case exactly.
The only other option I can think of is if we just write the eeprom data and modified tables to the donor which should be okay since its not changing mcu data but I am also not sure if that's the case and I would have to leave that with a tuner to handle.

Hello and sorry for the silly question, I do a lot of flashing via OBD and not as often via bench or boot. I work with a tuner that helps to modify the files for my customers so I am not as familiar with modifying the files as he is. Here is the scenario:
I am cloning the original ECU to a spare one for the customer which is pretty straight forward. The question I have and the part I am now stuck on is he sent be his modified .bin since he just wants me to reflash it on the ecu, it is the exact one that's already on the original ecu but he's having some issues and wants to rule that out the possibility that the flash may have been bad on the previous attempt.
Looking at the file sizes, the modified .bin is clearly different than the file size of the bench read (which makes sense) so Autotuner wont allow me to flash just the modified bin that contains the power tables. My guess is that I would have to load the full bench read .bin into winols or similar to then implement the smaller modified bin and save it that way to the bench read file and finally flash it that way?
I also have access to the back up read if I could somehow implement it that way and reflash.

after changing the tachograph to a smart tachograph Smart2, the vehicle started behaving strangely. the parameters of the injectors are all in the negative range and have a 3 or 4 digit value, when the vehicle warms up it loses power, a transmission error is displayed and it starts to work erratically. there is no error written on sdp3. have any of you solved such a problem??
how to solve the matter, since they do not see any faults at the authorized service center and claim that everything is fine with the vehicle.
