Sooo, my Audi A8 4.2 V8 BFM 2004 reached end of life after 2 months of owning my dream car, engine destroyed it self from the inside, ether an oil pump or rod bolt, its all a mush right now...
Living in Namibia, another BFM is impossible to get locally and super expensive to import and while searching around, one of my Clients got him self a RS5 for stripping, he wants some parts for his A5, I get to keep the engine and whatever else I need in exchange for labor...
My question to you is, how realistic is it swapping a CFSA in to A8 D3 and staying as OEM as possible?..
Fabrication and wiring is not an issue for me, we do a lot of custom work, but mostly on JDM cars, this is a first big swap on an Audi...
The things I have ordered while waiting for the RS5 (came today) are BVJ ECU (Audi A8 D3 with Direct Injection) and a harness for same, both engines being EA824 family makes it seems like it wont be a headach, but just in case it is, I would love to hear from YOU!..
From what I understand, nother option is to leave the stock ECU on the RS5 CFSA and wire it up as a second unit, which I would also consider is OEM+ is no way...

I'm currently in the process of analyzing a B class W246 180 122hp with a MED17.7.2 ecu. I'm trying to find maps and found a couple.
I have set 16 bit as usual. But it seems to me as if the structure in this control unit is not like the others I know. I know ME7.5, EDC15,16,17
I know that this is a petrol ecu and not a diesel, but still, for example, a turbo map should have roughly the same structure?
Can you give me some tips on this. Do I have to set something else in WinOls? LoHi or HiLo?
I don't think anyone would just share a mappack with this control unit. Possibly: Are there MED17 control devices that are similar to this? I have a few MED17 Damos files that I could perhaps copy from?

Hi I have a simos 3pe ecu for a 2001 polo. I tried reading with foxflash only way is via obd as boot doesn't read eeprom but obd read says ecu is locked. I have read the chip of board 93c76 and applied a immo off with rocketdump, but i cannot checksum the file to write back. Lsuite does not work either.
Any help be much appreciated on how I could do this.
