Hi,
I have bought a used Lexia/pp2000 kit at a car boot sale, but never had a chance to test it until today when my mate turned up and asked me to fit a cd changer he picked up at the local scrappy - obviously it needs to be enabled in PUGs BSI, so I have all the kit set up now - running Diagbox v05.24 I can connect only to the engine ECU and perform all the auctions permitted - however when trying to connect to the other ECUs (BSI for example) I get a message "ECU not replied).
I have read quite a lot abput the whole DiagBox and PSA evo interface but still can't find the solution. A few details about the car and the interface:
2003 PUG 206, 1.4 8V petrol, LX -
intreface is running a firmware 4.2.4 - this version was installed by pp2000
automatically.
The car seems to be MUX enabled, however the diagniostic 16pin socket has only the K and L line pins connected (1,4,5,7,10,11,15,16), so don't think that a can communication is required to talk to those ECUs
My question is if someone figured out ow to make a clone interface to talk to the 2003 pug properly?
Regards, Ark.

Galletto 1260 & Maps with MG Rover MEMS3 ECUs |

Hi,
I have been playing around trying to transfer maps between MEMS3 ECUs using a Galletto 1260. I've got the tool apparently working, it communicates with the ECU, reads sensible ECU data and apparently reads and writes ECU flash files without errors. However:
i) The files read from the ECU are always 16383 bytes. I have tried this with 2 different Galletto cables and 5 ECUs, always the same. The flash memory in the ECU is a 29F200 which is 256kb capacity, so it is clearly not downloading the full content of the flash memory.
ii) If I write a file read from one ECU to another, the ECU is then dead. I'm fairly sure the data is written correctly because if I then write the original file from the ECU back again, it is restored to life. Again, verified on both cables and multiple ECUs.
So it seems that the files I am downloading only work with the original ECU. Possible reasons that spring to mind are:
a) That I'm only reading part of the flash content and when I write back I'm ending up with a mixture of different copies that don't go together (and either don't work or fail a checksum or something).
b) That the files I am downloading are complete maps but are somehow locked or tied to an ECU ID and I need to do something with them to allow them to load onto a different ECU.
Can anyone shed any light on any of this for me?
