It acts as if it's not there. It does show up at the bottom taskbar. I checked SDnet Control and it's there, I did a self test and it seems OK..

So what could have happened ??? Which updates screwed what up ? Is there a way to reverse it ??

Also were can I read or if anyone can guide me as where can I learn the procedures to do all this. Does anyone know what the DTC Code P0243 mean for the Jaguar X-Type 2005. I have tried looking ti up but it comes back with Supercharger/Turbocharger Westgate Solenoid Malfunction, but as this model has neither a supercharger or a turbor charger I think this may be a little wrong?

Hi guys,

In EPC i can access the datacard but in wis i cannot.

So i logged into EWA net and went to GROUPS to check but WIS authorization access is greyed out and its on NO ACCESS AUTHORIZATION.

Under EPC its on 'AS WORKSHOP ACCESS AUTHORIZATION'.

I stupidly changed EPC to ' NO ACCESS' and now i cannot change it back.

Anyone help me with a work around?

Hello I have big problem with my car. ENGINE IS 1.2, ECU Marelli 59.

-Engine not start but cranking.
-Fuel pump works
-CODE iluminating and goes off
-check iluminating and goes off
-water temperature lamp iluminating and gauge doesn't work
-fuel level lamp blink and gauge doesn't work
-low voltage on ignition coils
-no signal from CKP but sensor is in good condition and have good resistance but ECM doesn't see it.
-diagnose with ECM is alright
-diagnose with gauges, BCM-----there is connection and suddenly connection cuts off.
-I have code U1600 stored and after erasing it is ttored again so like immobilizer fault but CODE lamp goes off.....

I have no idea what is going on. I checked i think every earth point, and even changed BCM and ECU from donor and nothing changed sadsmile2 please HELP!

One problem SOLVED!
After disconecting Instrument panel ENGINE STARTED, diagnostic communication works!
but engine works only for 2 cylinders
Ignition coil is ok, wire ok, no spark at 1, 4 cylinders.....any ideas? Ah, ENGINE IS 1.2, ECU Marelli 59.

I'm having a problem saveing the key for Xentry 03.2013 in Star Utilities and StartKeyCenter.

I'm using NewGuide2i and the files that come with it to prepair the computer.

When I use C:\WINDOWS\zak\Starutils\StarUtils.exe and the commonlic.dll that comes with NewGuide2i I get an other Hardware ID than F:\Programme\StartKeyCenter\StartKeyCenter.exe that gets installed with Xentry 03.2013. I changed the commonlic.dll to version 1.1.701.0, Built on 2011/11/28 20:24 to get the same Hardware ID.

I have also delete lic_key_2.dat

The network was disabled during installation. The date was set to 16. april.

I have tried both Xentry Developer 1.1.0.exe and XentryKeymakerLt1MB.exe to generate keys.

I have added some pictuers of the problem.

Renualt Megane 1.9dci
Vauxhall Astra 1.9 cdti

So which tool should i go with?

Kess V2 or GALLETTO V53 FGTECH GALLETTO 3, both seem to have SIMOS support.

It will be a clone device which i purchase.

hi @ all,
yesterday my autocom 2012.3 downloaded an update per isu.
after restarting the programm the update will be installed, but quite at the end i get an error message: "UpadteMainIfNotCorrect" stops working and the update fails.
anyone knows whats the problem?
see picture for details.

Since we have more and more cars in our shop that require immo repair and airbag reset, I have received a new task : to learn (and apply) how to solve these problems.
Unfortunately (since I work nowadays 12-13 hours/day) I have very limited time to spend on research. So, here I am, asikng for your help.
I did some quick research on this forum regarding immo repair and airbag reset and I learned about the tools (software and hardware) that I need, and I drew the following conclusions : I need to use Ecuvonix Airbag Universal Repair 2.0 (for airbag reset), Immo Universal Decoding 3.2 (for immo repair) and UPA USB Programmer (hardware).
I downloaded sw and looked for hw, and I found these :

What tips & tricks can you give me ?

My uderstanding as how this works (at least immo repair) :
I have to processes the dump file from the eprom and remove the immobilizer.
I can use a programmer to read the contents of the immobilizer eproms, and then Immo Killer or Immo Universal Decoding does some changes to the memory dump, which is then written back to eprom using the programmer, and the car is immobilizer free.
Is there any other way to read and write to eprom other that desoldering -> adapter -> resoldering ? If yes what tool does that and how secure is the process ?!
For Airbag reset can you recomment some handheld device (does the job via OBD, without PC connection and without desoldering)? Are these secure ? Or is it batter to use the programmer way to do the job ?!


I need help to learn from those who didn't forget their early days in this area, when you started to learn and needed help also. I don't need sarcastic replys and "use search button" since I allready did that and learnet things written above, and keep in mind that I've got VERY little time to do reserch and experiments.

Do any of you know the default password for User: Star 2013 on a Dell D630 and or Administrator Password.

I’ve been trying to add a few add-ons downloaded from “http://stardiagnosis.aftersales.daimler.com/query/query/dvd/lang/en/branch/CARS/dvd/DVD201303” which is what I have. I unzipped them one at a time to a USB drive.

So I clicked on “All Programs” > Update > USB Update> picked the update on the USB drive that showed up in the window. It installs fine except that all the previous add-ons disappeared from DAS.

I also tried installing the Addon program from the DVD 3-2013 \stardiag\AddOn_Frame\frameintaller. It starts but than it disappears and it does not complete the installation of Addon installer program I’m assuming it needs to be installed with Admin privileges.

Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated !
