Hello, I bought myself a toy for snow drifting, E46 316i with a straight-through exhaust. The CHECK ENGINE light is on due to the lambda sensors. Could someone help me delete the lambda sensors? Maybe it would increase the power? I know it's a naturally aspirated gasoline engine, but even 3 horsepower would be good.
Hey, I’ve been considering enabling Deep Idle on my 3.0 BiTDI (EDC17CP44) but received mixed opinions. One tuner advised against it, saying it’s not beneficial and could cause long-term issues.
Current Setup:
Straight-piped (DPF & EGR off)
Running a custom tune (stage 1)
From what I understand, Deep Idle lowers the idle RPM, which could impact turbo spool characteristics?
So my question, does Deep Idle have any real benefits or risks on this ECU and turbo setup? Could it negatively impact turbo response or long-term reliability?

I read the files with obd and it said "this ecu coommunicates with an old protocol. it is recommended to handle the ecu using tricore boot mode or Bench mode" so i did what it suggested and then read the file in bench mode with KT200-2 and i turned EGR off then i tried to write the file and it said "Warning CHKSUM NOT SUPPOERTED" i pressed ok and wrote anyway and then i turned the car on and it started but then i took it out to close with the top lid since the last one who worked on it didn't glue the lid and after i glued it and put ut back on the car didn't want start i tried rewriting the original file but no luck
I want to change my original Q7 3.6 VR6 BHK intake manifold to the latest black manifold. My ECU is a med9.1. Can somebody help me out removing the swirl flaps, correct the according maps for cold start and remove the DTC's related to it please.
It turns out that I got an edc17c84 from a Fiat Talento (to make a stage 1, so far everything OK, reading with AT by obd and I sent the file to my tuner.When he returned it to me I decided to write it by bench as the size the same I though that it would be a safer idea (of course my mistake, I know). Now I managed to boot it and make a fusion between the ORI of bench and the boot reading.And now it cranks but doesn't start,U0401 appears. Could someone give me a hand with this?
I’m working on swapping the instrument cluster from a Golf 6 1.6 TDI (2011-2012) with a Golf 6 1.6 Petrol one.
Original Cluster (Diesel): 5K0920872A
Replacement Cluster (Petrol): 5K092086D
EEPROM of the Used External Cluster:ST 24C32QW
I already extracted the anti-theft data from the original cluster but cannot retrieve it from the replacement one (encrypted). I’ve tried multiple attempts using X-Prog 3 and X431, including desoldering the EEPROM and following the guided steps, but when reading, I get the error:
❌ "Failed to Parse the Anti-Theft Data"
I have a full EEPROM dump from the external cluster and need help extracting at least the 6-byte CS code and PIN to proceed with the replacement.
If anyone can assist in extracting this data or has experience with similar swaps, I’d greatly appreciate it!
