Hello, I got a R170 or 2001 SLK320, DAS box is bad, customer wants to bypass immo (I told him these immo systems are problematic and a lot of locksmiths cant even program keys for them). I know there is companies that you can send out ECU, Box, and key to and they will do it but I would like to try to do it myself to save the customer some money. Is this possible? What information do you need and how much will it cost? I can renew ECU if need be, have not done anything yet.

Hello firends , i got this weird issue with lexus gs350 ,
code u0073 control module communication bus off.
Now i have already checked can from ecm and from obd connector to abs connector there is no issue so the abs module actually communicates and lets me read error code.
Sadly dont have osciloscope to check if can wires have any disturbance. Worst part is that, thats the only dtc in abs . No dtcs anywhere else except
AFS (LIGHTS)
B2424 lost com with left headlamp beam level contirok motor
B2435 same but right headlamp
Park assist
C1ae2 left front center sensor
C1aec front sensor communication circuit
I got abs and traction lights on dashboard and big azz triangle in middle...
UPDATE: i fixed this ,long story short it was secondary can wires issue. i dont know if car was flood damaged or what happened to it, for some reason there was corrosion in some connectors and modules behind dashboard, now fun part is that corrosions was not in footwell locations but above, behind dashboard and nav screen(bot of them full of rust and corrosion aswell). also for some reason there was melted into each other canH canL wires in trunk , i still dont get what could cause this things.
anyways simplest way to solve the ABS u0073 DTC, is to check secondary cans at abs connector shown in below, lightblue and yellow. if primary cans have problem you wont be able to enter in diagnostics abs module at all. check if secondary cans have short to ground, positive or just shorted together. if your CAN communication is healthy it should be about 60ohm between any CANH and CANL whether its primary or secondary(checking only this wont mean its working you should check all the possible scenarios).
BTW TRY THIS ONCE YOU REMOVE CONNECTOR FROM ABS MODULE, if you are lucky it might be the abs module software/hardware issue that messes up the can comm (just swap the abs you good to go). if its wiring issue i have only two suggestions, you either don't waste time on it(only if you know possible places to check like if car had a crash), otherwise i wish you all the luck you need , and get alldata or some wiring and parts diagrams, BECAUSE ENGINEERS AT TOYOTA WERE SMOKIN WEED AND EATING SKITTLES WHILE DESIGNING THEIR CARS CAN COMMUNICATION WIRING:JUST RANDOM RAINBOW COLORS OF CAN WIRES THAT CAN JUST CHANGE ITS COLOR AS SOON AS IT ENTERS JUNCTION CONNECTOR AND VOILA YOU ARE LOOSING YOUR BRAINCELLS. so without diagrams or very obvious damage where you just check all wires , diagnosing any toyota or lexus can comm is pretty much waste of time and nerves in my opinion.
NOTE: this image also shows the pins to abs connector but for different versions of this gs350 by year engine or just rhd lhd is different, yet colors should be same hopefully
