I accidentally shorted the alternator positive cable to the ground and now it does not start, no crank nothing. Lights work, ignition works, key I think it's working, alternator is good (it has been tested), tried to replace the jbe module, still nothing.
I am now thinking to swap the cas module but now I have to clone it. Any easy methods to clone the cas module ?
Is soldering the big chip an option ?
Or is there any other way I can figure out what exactly is fried ?
I have 2 series 1's I can swap the ecu and cas to see if the problem still persists, is this a valid option ?

Hello could someone help me with replacing a VGS2 to VGS3 board on a SLK (W171)
the old board has a internal fault and can not be repaired, it is still communicating so i read out the coding values and FBS3 data etc...
The other workshop (MB dealer ) bought an new vgs plate ( VGS3 ) and could not adapt this properly, also on TIPS document when we look this up this part can not be used on the old EHS...
when you have a 171.456 with an 722.906 code 805 vgs witch this car has! you must order complete EHS with VGS
is this true? is there another possibility so that we can flash vgs 3 with correct sw for old EHS?

Have 188k on dash, dpf regenerations or regen atemps hapen every 200km.
Car trawels mostly on higway, so gets heated up and to working temp.
About working temp i have question - is its normal that engine heats to 80'C?
Thermostat changed, active grill working.
Ambient temp about +10'C
What is normal temp to regen to start, is 525'C enought, i see temp rising to this value and droping few seconds after.
If i remove dpf and do egr off, will it pass in 100000 particles mot test?
About 6 months ago changed fuel pump, injectors, rail, pipes, fuel tank becouse metal shavings was traweling trought system.
We tried with friends delete DPF in DELCO E87 - tested solutions - working in other ECUs, but in this case P2002 DTC in EOBD mode is present. In normal DTC reading there is no DTC. I have made DPF RESET, but DTC P2002 doesn't disapear...

Fault code p 2138 ,i checked wiring everything seems fine pedal to ecu , I have constant 5v voltes in g79 g185 and grounds, while I'm pressing the throttle pedal the values are changing,, I'm holding 50% throttle the fault code also cleared. Release throttle the fault code come again car going limp mode, I'm already changed the used throttle pedal sensor,still same condition, please someone one help me,where to check next ,and sorry for my English
