Hi all. My friend owns this 2018 BMW X5 xDrive35i. We live in Canada just north of Minnesota and winters are cold.
So he left his car parked in the driveway and went on vacation. Came back and no crank. He boosted it and it started ran for 2 seconds and died. He got it again started and it ran 2ish seconds and died. He tried bunch of more times and it would crank anymore till they fried the starter.
He then brought it to a shop which said engine seized after they couldn't bar it over by long breaker bar. He brought it to a BMW specialized shop who did not find any damage but said most likely engine is toast.
So he asked me for advice. I told him I will have a look because it's just I never came across a car that seized from standing a week or two but was running fine before with just under 60k km.
I know it has the famous N55 which is like a ticking timebomb so anybody came across something like this? Could it be that the engine is still good?
What is current solution for adding a key for a 2016 Audi A3? Is dealer key with odis the only one? Currently only 1 key is programmed, other was removed when immo relearn was done.
Hello, I have a problem with the current consumption when the car is parked. The consumption is 3.5 Amp which causes my battery to discharge overnight, after studying the problem I came to the conclusion that the engine ecu with the code SIM271DE20 does not close the N10/1kN relay after the car has been parked. If I disconnect the relay the current consumption is within normal parameters, that is 0.015 Amp, and if I disconnect the F connector of the ECU the current consumption is approx. 0.2 Amp but drops to approx. 0.07 Amp after the communication is in sleep m . When I disconnect the relay or the F connector a metallic noise is heard like a solenoid closing. I checked the camshaft sensors and the fan power supply, they are fine, also the relay is working properly, it was replaced and in vain. The consumption also decreases if I remove the 25 fuse from the front SAM. Can you please help me with finding a solution? Thank you. The model is C207 - 1.8 CGI - 150 KW - production date 11/2011.
I just finished installing openshell 24.12.4 on fresh windows 10 pro, used newest fullfix by samik 4.7.1., generated keys etc... and my intention was to use it with sd c5, but i dont see there sdconnect toolkit only VCI menager for SD C6 , am I missing somenthing? From my understanding there should be c5 support with this version.. or not?
Just been playing with a BMW CAS4 module which I got from Ebay. I think it was corrupted because it had an immo bypass soldered to the board. Anyway, decided to try and restore it and learn from it. So naturally I have a few questions...
So I removed the necessary SMD parts and soldered to it, and selected the 5M48H (backup) on Autel, and successfully read the d/flash and p/flash, and both files seem ok.
Then I selected 5M48H (unlock) on the previous menu, and selected D/Flash and then P/Flash which brought up a progress bar (which went to 100%) So my question is what's it unlocking? What does this unlocking enable me to do?
Next question, it's my understanding that on a CAS4 is not encrypted, and i should be able to get the ISN from the D/flash. So I'm wondering how do I find the ISN in the dump file, because when I load the file up into a hex editor I've got no idea to where it is?
Lastly, I've found a option in Autel called "D/Flash demolition repair " if I select it, and then select "Data Restore" then I'm prompted to load the D/Flash which I did, and then it shows me this (see picture) just wondering what the 32 digit key ID's are? That's not the ISN is it?
Hey guys, it's about this mustang i have a mappack for it but the axles are not labeled and i don't know where exactly the revs are and where the throttle position is. does anyone happen to have a labeled mappack for this car. unfortunately there is no stagex either
so I did something pretty crazy the other day, bought a GL350 with no key.
got a key made from a locksmith using the EIS.
now the key unlocks, turns the electronics on, cranks the car, but won’t actually start.
I bought a new Mercedes main battery, same thing.
I have an Autel 808 , ran codes had a whole mess , mostly related to no battery or dead battery. Erased everything since had no knowledge if they where old or new or what.
still won’t start.
new codes after erasing have to do with overhead light, and side sensor error, and ez in/out feature. Nothing that would prevent it from starting.
fluids look good. Oil looks good. Diesel tank smells like diesel, but haven’t checked the fuel at the fuel filter.
looked at the start enable conditions and a couple things say no seen as seen in the attached picture. Not sure if that is normal or not.
I do have a C4 but I don’t have a computer with xentry installed, but I could borrow one and install xentry if I could get from somewhere…
Hi. I'm working on a 2023 Mercedes Citan, which was involved in a crash, and since than the car keeps calling the emergency services, each time the battery is connected.
Does anybody know how to stop the car from doing this, without disabling any of this features? There is no more crash data stored in the srs module, and the car is running.

my 2014 Mercedes W212 E250 has an issue with the MAF
P010129 Mass air flow sensor 1 has a malfunction. There is an invalid signal.
Bought a new MAF, fitted, taught in via Xentry, reset codes & test - Still has P010129
Found two wires had rubbed the insulation off by stupid plastic Eng cover, reinsulate & retest - same fault
Wondering if the faulty wiring has damaged the Eng ECU?
Is a MAF delete possible? - Car drives, not very nice up to 85km/hr then not so bad. Have to manually select 6th once above 95km/hr
Fault is while engine is not running as well as running - so I doubt it's caused by an air leak

Hello friends. I am getting an error code on my Peugeot vehicle. The explanation of this code is incorrect injector coding or incorrect signal. I coded it with Diagbox, Launch and Bosch KTS device but the error did not fix it. When I first start the vehicle, a warning comes up and when I turn the ignition off and on, it fixes it. Does anyone know a solution to this?
I'm having trouble programming my 2019 Mercedes-Benz W213 300D using DTS Monaco version 8.16. Specifically, I'm trying to variant code my HU55 head unit, but I'm encountering some errors.
The error messages I'm getting are:
STAT: Cannot resolve interface from configuration.
DYN: Error Code Unknown error code (0x80004005).
An internal error occurred in the MVCI diagnostic server.
My setup includes DTS Monaco 8.16 software and an OpenPort device. I also own a 2018 W213 E200, and using the same setup with the OpenPort device, everything works without any issues. This suggests that the problem might be specific to the 2019 300D or its configuration.
I've ensured all necessary drivers and software updates are installed, verified that the hardware is properly connected and configured, and attempted to restart the software and hardware.
If anyone has experienced similar issues or knows how to resolve these errors, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Please share any relevant advice or solutions you might have.
