I have been flashing various maps with the help of a tuner using bitbox to my Hyundai car having the kefico CPEGD3.20.1 ECU. OBD flash clearly doesn't work and I have had my fair share of experience recovering the ECU with stock file as well. Recently though after receiving an update on bitbox I decided to try OBD flash again and as usual it failed. Now when performing recovery on bench I did a major blunder and used a tuned read file instead of Stock ORI due to similarity in the filenames. The recovery operation failed. After this I tried to recover using the ORI backup and it was successful. But the ECU has stopped responding. Ive tried recovering multiple times after this and every single time the Recovery operation on bitbox becomes successful but the ECU doesn't identify or respond and my car has currently become a vegetable. Was wondering if anyone can suggest a way forward and if theres any hope of recovering the ECU.
I’ve completed a front facelift on my Mercedes E250 CDI Coupe (C207). I’m using Mercedes static LED headlights, a Kabel Daviko harness adapter, and the SAM from a newer car.
The new SAM has been coded to address a few initial problems and is now nearly perfect. However, one problem remains: With the new SAM fitted, the reverse lights and parking sensors don’t work at all.
From what I’ve gathered from other forum posts, this is likely a coding issue due to my car being a manual transmission while the SAM is from an automatic transmission model.
The person doing the remote coding has managed to update the code so that the SAM works correctly with the manual transmission (the dashboard now correctly displays the manual gearbox symbols). However, the reverse light switch is still not detected.
If anyone has any insight on what might be missing or a potential solution, I’d be very grateful.
Hello, is it possible to adapt used headlight controllers in a 2022 Camry with the number left-81056-33E80, right-81016-33A30. The car is after an accident, the left headlight is missing, full LEDs were installed, and now the VIN shows that there should be regular lamps with a bulb in the indicators. New modules are very expensive
ive tried immo off and didnt work in my situation. so heres my dilemma. I purchased a 2017 infiniti qx30 from copart. when i got the car home i let the battery charge for a few hours cause when i tried starting it the cluster didnt light up like ignition wasnt on. the car was damaged in the front but not near the ecu. after removing some parts up front i was removing the ecu from the air box and noticed the it had a large dent on the face and got discouraged. i ended up doing some research and finally decided to to buy a programmer to extract the data to put onto another ecu. i bought a used ecu from a 2017 qx30 on ebay also and when i got my tools ordered i got to work. first issue was the original ecu upon opening i noticed liquid near a large composter and wasnt too worried cause ill be able to extract the info. nope not sure why but i couldnt extract the info so then the used ecu came in and that one i was able to extract. i changed the vin and loaded it into the car and boom it started and then shut off. two more attempts and the car wouldnt start again. i loaded the info again with the changed vin and again 3 times started and shut down then wouldnt start. i thought hey people sell immo off so i went that route and nothing online i either found for free, or with tokens and didnt work. i found then a local locksmith/programmer that had allot more in his arsenal and did a couple deletes and still same results. he said if i can find a virgin file he can do something with both but not sure how. so im here looking.
