Hello to all members.
This is about a 2017 Ford Transit SID209 ECU. The old ECU is damaged, and I have no communication with it.
A new ECU has been purchased from a Ford dealership.
What is the procedure for adapting this ECU now?
What tools do I need, and is there anyone who can help me with this? Of course, I will pay for the help.
Looking to build a bench set up for key programming for Porsche front BCM so far I got a front BCM, cluster, gateway and EIS from a Porsche cayenne 2012. I know I can build this harness my self but was hoping someone has purchased a premade harness kinda like this one from ECUTOOL.COM
has anyone purchased from this website before, are they legit or a scam.
My questions are will this bench set up work to program new keys out of the car. I don't see why not, and if anyone has bought a harness and where from as I can only find these harness on 3rd party websites which I don't trust. The main reason I want to do this is I had a BCM with 5M48H processor which I was able to read data flash/EEPROM, but I wasn't able to unlock or write EPROM back, so my only option was to learn new keys in the car, but customer wasn't local to me, but luckily I had a friend local to him who did the key learning for me but for the future I would like to be prepared in case this happens to me again I've also found another place selling the same harness for double the price Autoecupart.net
thank you for everyone help
Peugeot Citroën Servicebox DocBackup Sedre 11.2013 Multilanguage VM (FREE)
Size 28.2 GiB (archive), 40.9 GiB (total)
After some time of just lurking i decided to contribute to the forum.
This is a free virutal machine that will install on any 64-bit PC with Windows 7 or higher. The operating system in the virtual machine is Windows XP SP3, which in this copy is highly stripped, tweaked and customized for the purpose. The Windows catalog is only ~370 MiB in size. I don't recommend you to install any other software in this machine, though it's specially customized for just this purpose.
This version supports a total of 37 languages, and 34 of them can be permanently chosen via a special written script for this purpose.
Available languages:
- Bulgarian
- Chinese (Simplified)
- Chinese (Traditional)
- Croatian
- Czech
- Danish
- Dutch (Belgium)
- Dutch (Netherlands)
- English
- Estonian
- Finnish
- French
- German
- German (Austria)
- Greek
- Hungarian
- Indonesian
- Italian
- Japanese
- Latvian
- Lithuanian
- Norwegian
- Persian
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Russian
- Serbian
- Slovak
- Slovenian
- Spanish
- Swedish
- Thai
- Turkish
Additional languages (must be chosen after every start):
- Arabic
- Hebrew
- Romanian
Virtual Machine:
- Microsoft Windows XP SP3
- Stripped, tweaked and customized for this purpose
- Very quick boot
- No sound, network or USB
- PDF printer available
- Drag and drop (files to and from the machine) available
Virtual Machine environment:
- VMware 15.x
Recommended software for VM:
- VMware Workstation Player 15.5.7 (included) (145 MiB)
Setup steps:
1. VMware required, version 15 lowest. If you don't have it, install VMware Workstation Player 15.5.7 (included in torrent).
2. Be sure that you have hardware virtualization enabled in your BIOS. VMware will tell you if you haven't. If you don't know how to enable it, google "enable virtualization in bios". There are a lot of guides and videos out there who will tell you how to do it.
3. Decompress the virtual machine files to anywhere you have space for it (40.9 GiB).
4. Use 7-zip for decompressing. Available for free at www.7-zip.org
5. Open the virtual machine with VMware.
6. Now you should be up and running!
Please be patient after opening DocBackup (Servicebox) or SEDRE. It will take a while to load. You will se a small icon discreetly flashing in the tray while loading:
After complete loading an Internet Explorer window will open.
To disable the annoying nag screen of installing VMware Tools 10.0.2 (which actually is alredy installed):
Uncheck this box in Preferences in the VMware Workstation Player:
To change language, follow the shortcut on the desktop (Change PSA language) or in the Start Menu, and choose your prefered language.
If you want to change the keyboard layout, you will find the settings in Control Panel / Regional and language options / Languages / Details...
To choose Arabic, Hebrew or Romanian, you will have to do this in Servicebox/DocBackup every time you start it.
Follow the link "My profile":
Unfortunately, when you have English as your pre-definied language, many of the languages are described with question marks (???????). There are no way that I have discovered to work around this. It's a problem related to Servicebox/DocBackup itself. If you change the language to any (I think) of the non-english languages, for instance French, you will be able to see all the languages:
Although, Hebrew and Romanian will be shown in the list, and Arabic is the language on the top of the list, so I guess this won't be a really big problem.
If any problem occurs, try use the "Change PSA language" routine and choose your language again, and reboot the virtual machine.
If you still have problems, please write in this thread, and I try to help as my time permits.
