It is outlined in the thread that I am to download the file, install the software and then post my 'machine key', but when i download the file there is no .exe. file for me to run and install the software? it was suggested by another user that I should disable my antivirus software, as that may have been blocking or even deleting the .exe, but this hasnt worked.
I've attached a screengrab of the files that are in the download - I would really appreciate some help with this, as I'm pretty much out of ideas!

I determined the ECU was bad in this 2012 Q7 so I looked on ebay and they want $500 US for one, so I researched it further and found a list of compatible ECU's that would work. One of them I found on ebay for $300 and bought it, (FYI, the seller told me it wasnt compatible with my 2012 Q7 but I told him I wanted it anyway since it showed as compatible on the bosch compatibility list) I paid someone here on MHH to remote in and flash it which they did (successfully?) but it just starts and dies after a second, as far as I can tell the immo is fine when I run VCDS or ODIS S, although with ODIS it recognized the VIN but asks which engine it has but the engine code i have (CATA) isnt in the list to choose from so Im not sure how accurate ODIS is. Any advice from anyone before I go spend $500 on another ECU?
So I have a clone C4 that was originally blacklisted which I’m having trouble connecting to since changing the serial number. I think it’s maybe something simple but my brain isn’t functioning.
I have searched the forum but cannot obviously see a solution or next steps for a fix, so I’m asking for help here, even if it is to point me to an existing post which I cannot find!
I got a CH134A programmer to edit the 24c02 eeprom to change the serial number to prevent future issues. Changed it from the 101044 serial to a made up number 413945.
After the change I used the ‘delete current configuration option’ within the multiplexer itself as found in other instructions.
Connecting back via the lan cable,
172.29.127.121 255.255.255.0
(Also tried up ending .118)
The C4 is ‘recognised’ as connected and the taskbars icon shows 00.
When I then load up the toolkit to try register the device and set the number to 01 or similar my options are limited.
You can see from the attached screenshot that the new serial number shows, but the name shows as 0 and I don’t have the usual options.
When selecting the register/configure tab, I see “no sdconnect available via the cable”
Self-diagnosis says “no equipment accessible” and software update the same
Tried C4 with and without batteries and to no avail.

I've re-flashed ME9.6 reusing a 255 ecu over written with 280 ecu complete file it run but comes up with error codes U0300 and U0301. I was told to change ENGSYSID from 70 - 0.
My Question is where do I find the ENGSYSID to change it.....
I'm having a problem with flashing .efd to gpec2 with cda6 and ori micropod2 on bench.

Dashboard was 238882 km, need 73000 km.
Have successfully flashed new SW’s (1769027702, 1669027608) no issues faced what so ever during the flash.
And done all required variant coding to activate CP & AA which worked now I can see CP & AA on the tel menu on my HU.
My issue is that I can’t seem to be able to make it work, have connected several different phone (IOS & android) via multiple cables in the correct port (bottom #2).
Hard reset the HU, and HU system rest didn’t work either.
Note: my usb port doesn’t have the tablet / phone logo, this is the only thing I could think of TBH.
Hello, I am trying to convert my a6 c7 facelift usa to eu tail lights without replacing "half the car" you know lights, module, cables, etc. So I did the coding in which I use the side light as turning signal, it is working now my side lights are blinking. I opened the lamps and now I got a little bit stuck, I found the wires in the third board that are just for turning lights( 2 pieces that are separate) also found the wire from the side light which enters the 3rd board. I know that with leds the circuit must be closed as they are in serial.
Has anyone done this conversion? Can't find any diagram online, or do I have to make changes to the boards too or just the cables.
I now that people have done this and it is working but they do not want to share any info.

Hi hope you all well NEW YEAR NEW problems to solve! I want to know if we can share how to repair these TCM's they are becoming a big problem! Speed sensors are known faults and is easy enough to fix but the valve check failure is problems to fix if I check with scope I can see VGS 1 ,2 ,3 give different readings I even opened units to check for faults but cant seem to find any faulty components they seem to read good if I compare it to working unit ,I have build my own test bench with speed sensor testing and valve testing ,hope we can help each other with a some advice
