I ordered a GM MDI2 (Clone) from Aliexpress and received this cheap fake device. .. Single Board . .missing SD card inside, front buttons, not even connected. The device is not determined by the GM MDI manager and nothing works.
Can the ECU be connected to Delphi or Autocom on the bench?
via obd connector without car or
because of a test everything ok
If so, how is it possible?
I have this Audi S6 with V10 engine i've bought to fix and use as a summercar.
Ive deleted intake flaps etc and made it reliable again, changed gaskets thats been leaking and upon that i had to delete DTC 2014/2019 for flaps.
When opening the ecu for reading with bdm i fucked the ecu up with a screwdriver so i bought a new one (and tools for opening ecus hehe).
So what i did was to try to read out the old ecu and compared files from the new one that i also read out, seemed to match up with sizes so i wrote the old to the new without problems.
What i get when trying to start the car is it SAFE in the tachh and starts up for a second or two and then dies.
Have fault codes:
Control module PIN CODING - Implausible signal
Incorrect immobilizer key - Implausible signal
and alot others that are communication related.
i need help to fix this so i can enjoy the car. Thanks!
Hello everyone, I kindly need to clarify two doubts:
1 – I have a Corsa D with a completely water-damaged ECU. I’ve found another ECU in good condition, but I need to know if they’re compatible, since I noticed some of the numbers are different.
2 – If the replacement ECU is compatible, is it enough to swap the EEPROM? Or do I need to retrieve the PIN from the new ECU to reset and reprogram it to the car?

Is it as simple as bench reading the flash and eeprom and writing 1:1 to the donor ECU? Are there OTP sectors to worry about that may brick my donor ECU?

The car has died and won't start, after turning the key only the relay in the bsi can be heard, but the starter doesn't work. No communication with all modules except ABS controller. I swapped the BSM controller, but no results. I checked the continuity of the wires from the obd socket to the abs controller, engine controller and bsi - all ok. I checked the resistance of the can line on the controllers and wires - all ok. I read on the internet that in this model the communication problem is usually the abs pump, so I did a bypass on the can line, but still no communication. Diagnosed Lexia and Delphi. Engine controller (J34P) connected in bench has communication. The delphi interface is able to connect to the BSI probably after the K line and view the vin data is saved, so the problem is probably not in the BSI. Maybe any of you had a similar fault or have any ideas what else to check ? Or has a schematic for this model ? I mostly repair VAG group on a daily basis and PSA occasionally, so I don't fully understand the can line layout, I guess BSI is such a gateway from Vag ?

I've got an immo off in flash solution for this EDC16C34, it's not the same as PSA EDC16C34 but it's basically fiat, so the normal eeprom off solution isn't possible and the pin code is not clear in the eeprom.
I've attached the immo off solution and ori. It works, but brings on IMMO Light.
Also if I use his priginal ECU which works, and has no immo light, the immo light illuminates as soon as we apply the immo off solution.
Is there a way to fix this in software, or do we throw away the immo bulb from the dash?
I tried removing all P1616 related codes and they went, but still light is there.
Basically I need to create a .bin to write to the EEPROM of a ME2.8 using the key data from an EIS. I would do it myself but I do not know what bytes are the key data. Can anyone help me?
