So about 3 months ago the trunk of my B8.5 Audi S5 filled up with water and my sport diff / AWD control module died. I salvaged a new module, but have had major issues finding a good avenue for component protection removal.
Dealership of course wants my retirement savings account in its entirety in exchange for pressing a few buttons...
I've read about eeProm swapping, but on inspection I don't think my AWD module has a dedicated eeProm.
Heard about a certain Polish fellow who seems to be well known in various VAG forums. Used to be in the honorable business of helping out individuals like myself looking to get remote com-protect work done on Audi's. But I haven't succeeded in getting in contact with him (it seems he may be retired nowadays).
I've done some digging through the various online remote programming vendors. I actually paid a group called v-x-das to remove component protection after doing a transmission swap on the same car about 6 months ago, but they now say that their online account for the Audi system is no longer operational. There are a few pricier vendors I could try... but I figured before I do that:
Does anyone around here have the ability to do this sort of operation? I'd much rather support a fellow enthusiast than a random online store front. I have a VAS6154 cable and various versions of odis.
Separately, has anyone had luck getting non-dealership component protection removal done on an Audi module recently? If so, how'd you go about it?
I would appreciate any feeback regarding a 2004 Camry 2.4L 4-cylinder Automatic transmission vehicle i picked up late last year at an auction
It was classified as "run and drive" but not true. Engine starts up and sounds/looks great but when you take off the transmission engages but when its about to transition to second gear, the car completely stops as if it hits a wall. I did manually switch manually to D2 and it runs nut i decided not to take a chance and barely drove it and put it away.
Since there isn't any run history, there are no codes as i used my OBDLink MX+ scanner and got no codes.
Is there a possibility this may be a bad shift solenoid(s) causing this? The car was hit in the driver's side rear door/panel and a friend told me to verify the alignment point of the neutral safety switch which he says might cause the problem with the transmission.
The AT fluid is very dirty and my current initial course of action is to replace the AT filter/oil and take a look at the neutral switch which sits under the battery and inspect the alignment point.

Hello i was buy use mpod3, and i have problem. Whean i Connect to pc Led is geen but whean pc regonize interface half led blinks on Red second hald is green. In Windows control panel i see brightstar card i connection menager. Anybody have problem like this?? Thanks for any help
After diagnostic with a tester *not tuning, not flash read and write* just diagnostic and then engine errors delete , Man tg3 truck refused to start.
Ecu MD1CE100 2021.
On details of ecu it seems tester deleted some parts of ecu information - vin number and other details.
Question : can this be repaired? (I can read ECU with kess3, also vin number is in the file i read)
It is possible to clone this ECU? I mean to write some other information from another MD1CE100 with same software number in order to make ecu alive ? Or is OTP protected like edc17?
I have mancats3 so i can write ecu with correct data and pair with PTM , and i just need to recover this ecu.
Almost a year ago I bought this vehicle in a crazy way, many will say. Several things about this choice.
It came out for a low price, 20 thousand with a division of 22 thousand price range 70 thousand. Here in my country the taxes are 40 to 60% on everything, I live in Brazil.
When I saw it I fell in love, I saw it there stopped for 2 years with many errors in various modules and with change all disassembled the previous owner burned the gearbox which I myself with the help of a friend helped me to assemble it and the GearBox, expert found me the original TCM board that I had to buy another one and the original one I couldn't recover with the help of the MHHAUTO website the information I was getting here, I am very grateful.
I am not a mechanic but I like challenges I already have a 2023 xentry, a new x431 I am taking a remap course. In 1 year this vehicle has changed my life.
Now it runs! No errors, just a small loss of pressure in 3rd and 6th gears.

The car came without an ECU, I found a second-hand ME 7.0, I put this flash and EEPROM in the ECU, there are no errors in the CEM, VIN is not ok, Volvo Sync v 1.4 does not work, I would be happy if someone could help with a working solution

i read the ecu with ktag 7020 ksuite 2.23 and 2.25 but in boot mode but the file size is only 332kb i bought a ori file from a website but this read have 347kb?
is this a full ecu read ?
