As stated in the subject, I'm looking to buy a original Mercedes Hand-Held Tester from the 90's. Part number 6511016099.
Something like this except for the price https://www.ebay.de/itm/135125711549?
Preferably a full set with modules and cables but interested in single parts too. Write PM if you have something.
I'm troubleshooting an EPB failure on a 2021 Citroën C4 Spacetourer after a brake service.
🔧 What happened:
During a rear brake service, the EPB piston fully ejected while disassembled.
The piston was reinserted manually, brakes were reassembled, but EPB stopped working.
🚨 Current symptoms & fault codes:
EPB does not engage/release.
Fault C156D:62 (Brake actuator control - signal plausibility error) in ABS module.
Trailer module power errors, possibly due to multiplexing issues.
EPB "neutral position sensor" returns invalid value in live data.
The brake briefly worked after adjusting the EPB worm gear, then failed after a reset.
New EPB calipers/motors installed, but the issue persists.
New EPB motors do not respond to diagnostic commands.
🔍 What has been done:
✔ New EPB calipers/motors installed.
✔ Fuses checked (ABS, EPB).
✔ EPB reset/re-learn attempted with Autel – no effect.
✔ ABS module live data checked – values received, confirming BSI communication.
✔ Battery reset & BSI hard reset tried.
🤔 Possible causes & questions:
ABS module may not detect piston position, blocking EPB activation.
Could hydraulic pressure loss require an ABS module bleed?
Is ABS stuck in a failed state, needing reprogramming/replacement?
Does EPB motor get power directly from ABS or via a relay?
Is an official tool (Actia Diagbox) with online access needed for EPB re-learning?
❓ Looking for advice on:
Can a hydraulic issue cause ABS to disable EPB?
Any known ABS issues affecting EPB control?
Can EPB re-learning work without an official tool?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Hi guys..I need an ori file to compare with this one that has the ACU to see if it has something modified..the car comes from another workshop and it gives constant flow meter failure..new flow meter and wiring checked and everything is correct. So there is something modified in the ECU..customer believes that in another workshop they cancelled the particle filter...I need an ori file to compare
This is what internet says when comparing them, but which one would you shoose to update all the modules on a 2019 GMC sierra 1500 iso115765-4CAN11/500? I'm thinking since the VXC FD has Can FD I will have more advanced diagnostics ability. My main focus is for use for programming and advanced diagnostics on the truck. I'm not sure which would be best for my goal. I'm not ready to buy a Genuine MDI2 yet.
In contrast, while the VXDIAG VCX FD provides broader vehicle coverage and supports newer communication protocols like CAN FD, some users have encountered challenges during software installation and occasional connectivity issues. These hurdles may require additional technical expertise to overcome. Conclusion
If your primary focus is on GM vehicles and you prioritize a stable, user-friendly experience with official support, the Mongoose-Plus GM3 is a compelling choice. Its dedicated design for GM diagnostics and programming ensures compatibility and reliability.
However, if you require a more versatile tool that can handle multiple vehicle brands and support the latest communication protocols, the VXDIAG VCX FD offers a broader range of applications. Be prepared to invest time in setup and troubleshooting to fully utilize its capabilities.
Ultimately, the decision should be based on your specific diagnostic needs, the range of vehicles you work with, and your comfort level with potential technical setup processes.
Hi guys, I need some advice. I have a Denso 279700-9500 ECU from a Volvo S60 3.0 243 kW in my workshop, and I need to clone it. I have a KT200II – can anyone tell me if it’s possible to do this with my tool and, if so, how? I couldn’t find this specific ECU in the manuals.
I also tried flashing it via Online VIDA, but every time I attempted to upload the file, an error occurred. I tested multiple cables (Mongoose, VX Diag, GODIAG), but none of them worked.
Can someone help me? I have a fault with the front low beam lights that do not work on a 2019 Dacia. I tested the light control and checked the fuses by diagnostics, I do not see a UPC with Autel.
Hi to all. Kindly can you tell me if MPPs can read/write on bench or on car via obd iaw5sf? I need to clone it or to do immo Off. MPPs say "write it on car. I tried on bench but "read" I con is disabled. However he can identify the ECU. I have also galletto, kess/ktag, and Willem for the EEPROM.
I was trying to add a key for a BMW 116D 2015 and when i tried to desolder the eeprom so i can read it it broke in half.
The only thing i have now is the key file what you must do first before reading the eeprom.
The car is a Automatic, 474 Frequenty, 2015, keyless. i do have the original key.
I also found another ST 95128 on a golf 7 cluster that i desoldered to use on this FEM.
Does anybody have a donor FEM eeprom file that is used for a 474 frequnty key or isnt that important?
A quick question - will ECU Programming procedure (TechLine Connect SPS2) remove the tune and flash ECU with a clean, oem ECU software? I want to go back to the original soft.
Thanks!
