I have no problem admitting that I am a total rookie at coding for Benz. And i have tried the search feature but found nothing of value. I probably just suck at searching.
Have coded plenty for BMW and Mitsu. So this will not be my first time doing something like this.
Its just a completely different tool set. And i don't know where to even start.
I purchased one of those 14.9" aftermarket touchscreen units from alibaba.
To no surprise it came with absolutely zero instructions. Honestly not even a piece of paper came in the box. Just the screen and the harness.
But from what i saw by searching, these android units need either the Aux In activated by code or to keep a permanent USB dongle. I would really rather not use a permanent USB dongle if it can be helped.
I also ended up getting a new controller with the trackpad. Since mine does not have the pad. Mine just came with the wheel.
The new controller has a couple buttons mine does not as well.
The M and traction control button.
If i can enable those by code as well that would be cool
I bought an OBD device from this forum (Thanks: @hanstanz) last fall so I can use the AutoCom 2021.11 program.
I also installed the Wurth WoW 5.00.12 program on the computer using this. I tested that AutoCom works well with firmware version 3201.
When I first used the Wurth software on the device, the program asked me to download a firmware update for the device. I did this and the program worked fine after that.
When I returned to using the AutoCom program, it again asked me to update the device's firmware version so that the program would work.
How can I get these programs to work so that I don't have to constantly update the firmware of the OBD device?
Hello I have a 1998 BMW M3 that needs IMMO OFF. I used EWS Delete Tool and flashed the ECU however still crank no start. I have jumped the 2 pins on the EWS can anyone confirm that these files are properly modified for IMMO OFF. Thanks a bunch!

Normally, I can power on NTG6 infotainment systems on my bench using 12V power and CAN BUS signals, but I now have more than one unit that won't turn on. Is there something that needs to be reset? Could some require power voltage to be applied to more than the normal spot?
